BADLANDS50 FINAL UPDATE

Final Race Update We are less than a week away from the 1st ever BADLANDS50 Ultra. I want to say thank you for signing up. I also want to let everyone know that we are a small club with little frills in the way of your average organized race. My biggest fear is not meeting your expectations. We have a great course and will do all we can to support you in your effort to finish BADLANDS. I think the trails will speak for themselves. The weather looks good with high temps in the low 80’s. It has been fairly dry for over a week now so I don’t expect much if any wet areas that you can’t run around or jump over. Expect roots, sand, trees and Nature at its best. I have had many questions about the race over the last few weeks and I hope this letter clears up any last minute details you may want to know prior to race day. I look forward to meeting you all. Race Start: 50K and 50 Mile races will start at 7:00am Race Cutoff: The race cut off for both races is 9:00PM Course Description: 50 Milers- 4 loops of 12.5 miles. 50 K- 2 loops of 12.5 plus a single loop for your last 6 miles on a completely different trail. So bring something that you will want after the race or during if you like substance somewhere in the middle. BYOB: The forest permit will not allow us to provide beer but it says nothing about you bringing your own. Amenities: There are none! There is one Hole in the ground bathroom with walls. The bathroom is unisex so keep that in mind. No running water, No Electricity. Nature at its best. It is called the badlands Aid Stations: There will be (2) Aid Station. One at 6 Miles and one at the START/FINISH, Main Trail Head at 12.5 Miles. We will have Hammer Nutrition Products and your normal type trail snacks. If you require special items please bring them with you. Directions: This will be the first part of your BADLANDS experience. Finding the trail. There is NO official address.
